Top Italian Schools in Florence 2024 – Candid Reviews

Florence stole my heart: the food, the people and the language. I do not think there is one unkind soul in all of Florence. Italian can be learned in many different and bigger Italian cities, but Florence arguably has the very best historical art scene. If art is your obsession and you want to be in a city with nearly as many tourists as Florentine locals, then Florence should be your choice.

Schools on this page have been selected based on client reviews from independent sites, popularity (research of annual student intake), and appeal to different student types and budgets. Poorly rated schools have been discarded.
Every language school on this page has been personally visited by me. I’ve inspected the classrooms, facilities, and spoken with students and staff. My reviews reflect my honest opinion. I never accept money from schools. If you book through a link on this site, LingoTraveller may earn a commission from LanguageCourse.net, and you’ll pay less than booking directly with the school. Win-win. Click on the schools to see my detailed review and YouTube video of each school visit.

3 Accademia Europea di Firenze Full Review

Accademia Europea di Firenze © Debbie

The good

  • Excellent facilities with top range amenities.
  • Great range of creative and unique courses.
  • Great value for money (considering the facilities available to the students).

The bad

  • Currently, there is a lot of construction in the area so the air is not so clean (this should be finished within the year)

Ideal for students who are passionate about the arts.
Accademia Europea di Firenze is located in the centre of Florence, only steps away from Piazza San Marco. This is a school with an emphasis on art, where they take an interactive approach to experiential learning.
I recommend this school not only to students who live for art, but to anyone who wants to completely immerse themselves in the Italian way of life. If you aim to adopt a “study, learn, live, and engage” approach to learning, you will thrive at this school.
